Simulator time stays separate from flight time. Flights with no time credited keep their times and landings but add no flight time.

Night time

By the sun (estimate): only the minutes after civil twilight (ICAO night), worked out on a straight line between the airports, so it is an estimate, not your real track. It uses your takeoff and landing times when you have them.
